After breakfast, your guide collects you in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire, famous for its giant baobab trees and the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Enjoy an afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River before checking in to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.
A morning game drive in Lake Manyara reveals its famous tree-climbing lions, flamingo-fringed shoreline and dense forest birdlife. After lunch, ascend the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight at a crater-rim lodge.
Descend 600 metres to the crater floor for a half-day game drive among lions, black rhino, hippo and vast herds of grazers in this UNESCO World Heritage caldera. After a picnic lunch, ascend and transfer back to Arusha, arriving late afternoon.
